North & South 2

Thanks to Simone who kindly lent me the DVD I was able to watch the movie already :) It is very well made and –apart from some minor scenes – close to the book.

Sanditon & The Watsons

Such a pity that Jane Austen wasn't able to finish these to stories any more - otherwise we would have two more of her wonderful novels...

North & South

This movie is on top of my wish list at the moment. The book by Elizabeth Gaskell is definitely worth reading!

Spring has sprung on my "Around the Year" website :)

Etwas Fernseh-Nostalgie - A Little TV Nostalgia

Lassie, Flipper and Daktari were three of the TV series which I used to watch as a child. The episodes were so exciting that my brothers and I often hid behind the sofa or other furniture, because we couldn’t stand it any more. But of course that didn’t stop us from watching the following episodes ;)

Pride and Prejudice

I like the adaptation of 2005 with Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen very much. Being a series, the BBC version of 1995 with Jennifer Ehle and Colin Firth is, of course, more detailed and really almost perfect :)

Sense and Sensibility

I like both movies. However, the adaptation of 2007 is more detailed and closer to the book.
